After that, we’ll add an Angular rich text editor module. To see how WYSIWYG editors can have a positive effect on the development process, we’ll first look at the steps in creating an Angular project. These include CMS (Content Management Systems) like WordPress, word processing software, blogs, social media sites, and more. Therefore, these editors are highly versatile and can be integrated into various apps. These changes range from writing rich text (think Google Docs) to uploading images or even building pages. It allows users to interact with an interface to change a website or app’s contents without having to code. A WYSIWYG editor is a type of HTML editor. Further, if you need to put some text in your video, pairing it with interesting icons is a good way to keep the information visually interesting without turning it into a glorified PowerPoint.Updated Oct. If we see an icon we're used to actually moving and giving us instructions, it'll be that much easier to imagine ourselves following those instructions. ![]() This can make icons that we're used to seeing in our everyday lives take on additional meaning. This is common in animations - animators will use icon-style lines and colors and then add some movement to bring the icon to life. When you're transitioning between shots, presenting information, or otherwise queuing up an action for your viewer, you can represent this activity with an icon. Icons are highly useful in video editing. How to use icons in video edits and animations You want a smooth transition between each icon, so use a similar appearance for each. Further, make sure you use a similar or complementary design style and color palette when piecing different icons together. Be sure to give them some space in your design - too many icons crammed too close together can become difficult to translate. Look for icons that are clearly recognizable and interesting. This allows graphic designers to piece together entire stories simply by summoning groups of ideas from icons. Icons are a form of visual shorthand, like a car icon for all cars. For example, a house icon in an advertisement about exterior window cleaning will relate to more viewers than an actual image of a house - the actual image may look nothing like their house, but the icon makes them imagine their own house. They're handy stand-ins for larger, more complicated images. Graphic design commonly makes use of icons. This can help you move traffic through the conversion funnel if you're attempting to make some sales, or it can create leads and sign-ups if your goal is registrations and sign-ups for newsletters, events, or services. With the right icons placed in the right areas of your website, you can help your visitor make their way through your site in precisely the manner you'd like them to experience it. ![]() Web designers can partially recreate this experience with icon-based neumorphic design - design that looks like an actual device. An icon-based interface relies on images and symbols to navigate the options in an app intuitively. Icons are becoming increasingly popular in website design because they can help recreate the interfaces we've become used to on our phones and devices. ![]() ![]() ![]() Always taking inspiration from the artists and artworks on display at Tate Modern, UNIOLO Tate Play offers families new ways to play together and get creative, with over 147,000 people having taken part so far. UNIOLO Tate Play was first launched in 202 l with the hugely popular installation: Ei Arakawa’s Mega Please Draw Freely, in which families could draw all over the floor of the Turbine Hall. Since the 1970s Kusama has lived in Tokyo, where she continues to work prolifically and to international acclaim. The artist has been the subject of exhibitions around the world, including a major travelling retrospective initiated by Tate Modern in 2012 and the recently extended exhibition of Infinity Mirror Rooms, now open until l l June 2023. The work reflects Kusama’s enduring obsessions with accumulation, obliteration, and becoming one with the artwork.īorn in 1929 in Matsumoto, Japan, Yayoi Kusama came to international attention in l 960s New York for a wide-ranging creative practice that has encompassed installation, painting, sculpture, fashion design and writing. Visitors are handed a sticker sheet of colourful dots with which to leave their mark on this stark interior, which slowly becomes transformed into a riot of colour. Originally commissioned by the Queensland Art Gallery in Australia, the installation consists of a completely white space fully furnished with entirely white furniture. The obliteration room is one of Kusama’s most ambitious interactive works. As well as having a chance to cover every available surface of the installation with bright circular stickers, families will also be able to create their own work of art to add to an ever-growing garden in the Turbine Hall. Yayoi Kusama’s The obliteration room opens on 23 July as part of UNIOLO Tate Play, Tate Modem’s free programme of playful art-inspired activities for families. When your hard drive runs out of space due to accumulation of too many junk files, it will eventually slow down. Cache is the virtual memory available in the hard drive. ![]() The most common drives have between 5,400 to 10,000 RPM, while modern faster drives are capable of speeds of up to 15,000 RPM. Generally, the greater the hard drive’s RPM speed, the faster it can read and write data. RPM is the rate at which hard drive platters spin. When your computer gets infected by malware, it can spawn an extreme change in the system’s behavior, usually causing the hard drive to malfunction or slow down. If your hard disk drive takes forever to load, you might want to check for old or corrupted disk drivers and update them. If the connectors are broken or damaged, consider replacing them immediately. So 20 minutes or so into the game you hit a flying section if you didn't already hit a 16minute timer at The Devils Snare that i hit anyway. It's fine if that's not what you're looking for, it's definitely not for everybody, but the story is quite charming once you get the rhythm of it down. I've played through the entire existing content without spending a dime, but it takes time. Ultimately, Hogwarts Mystery is a patience game. ![]() "RPG" is probably the wrong label to apply for marketing reasons, it technically is that, but hearing those words people kind of think it's going to be an MMO like WoW or Final Fantasy, or like a less adult-oriented version of Grand Theft Auto Online or Bully (if anybody wants to make one of those, hey, please do, I will play the crap out of them, but that's a whole different tier of game that wouldn't really work on mobile). If you were expecting a different kind of video game than a visual novel then yeah, this is going to be pretty disappointing. The time sinks suck but you're not really intended to spend your way through them. It's basically a visual novel with time sinks put in to space it out. ![]() There is NOTHING to do in-between timers and paywalls unless you consider randomly clicking on the same walls and portraits to see if you might get an energy orb to be a thrilling experience. Hopefully that has or will change somewhat but it's a ridiculous amount of money for very little gameplay. That means 20minutes of gameplay in Hogwarts Mystery costs $20. This worked out at $1 per minute of gameplay. To complete ONE chapter of year 2 it required someone to purchase 585 gems to basically speed through that chapter at a normal pace. Just to add some context to how grindy this game is. In current state this reminds me of Star Trek Trexels which AngryJoe reviewed. Which kind of sucks if you were hoping for a Harry Potter game which you could sink hours into with friends or by yourself. This has limited content and things to do and is more of a paywall simulator in the current state. ![]() Maybe the game will be vastly improved for the major release but honestly. But this game doesn't really seem to have that. I would like to move my character or meet friends characters. But this game has very little in the way of gameplay. This is a Harry Potter game and any company is going to make a lot of money from a brand like that. There is little interaction with friends and you are forced into excessive wait periods literally 20minutes into the game. It's bad, progression is heavily stunted, you can't really explore Hogwarts. Ironically it's as early as when you reach the Devil's Snare and especially flying class (right after the game asks you for a review) that you hit exactly how irritating the energy bar situation is. I had such hopes and expectations but what i hoped would be a fun experience that you could play alongside friends has turned out to be a ridiculously grindy and pretty bland experience. ![]() ![]() The concept of smart cities began as far back as the 1960s and 1970s when the US Community Analysis Bureau began using databases, aerial photography and cluster analysis to collect data, direct resources and issue reports in order to direct services, mitigate against disasters and reduce poverty. ![]() Smart cities can connect all manner of services to provide joined up solutions for citizens. In addition, smart city technology can improve the efficiency of manufacturing, urban farming, energy use, and more. Citizens can also access this system to notify officials of any problems, such as potholes, while sensors can also monitor infrastructure problems such as leaks in water pipes. Smart buildings can also offer real-time space management or structural health monitoring and feedback to determine when repairs are necessary. Smart city initiatives can also be used to combat climate change and air pollution as well as waste management and sanitation via internet-enabled rubbish collection, bins and fleet management systems.Īside from services, smart cities allow for the provision of safety measures such as monitoring areas of high crime or using sensors to enable an early warning for incidents like floods, landslides, hurricanes or droughts. Such smart grid technologies can improve everything from operations to maintenance and planning to power supplies. Rather, the game plan is evident: The action movie has a ready fan base anywhere in the world, so put together an identifiable face on the poster with an excuse of a script that allows set-piece violence within a tight budget. The effort here was clearly never to redefine genre basics of Hollywood action. The action drama rehashes numerous tropes that made the Willis-starrer action series a rage over five releases spanning decades, but very little of what goes on in Deadlock reveals an ambition to regale with original thrills. Thematically, the film does seem like a script idea that producers of the Die Hard franchise might have rejected. So the actor settles for the villain’s job in this film. Deadlock is a Die Hard knock-off but at 66, Willis probably seemed over the hill to reprise the John McClane stereotype.
